What:
The very first Aotearoa Beyblade Nationals! 🌀
We’ll be crowning the official GSNZ National Champion in an all-out community day packed with fun for everyone! 🎉

Glossary
MATCH:
The deciding contest between you and your opponent.
In group stage: A match is decided by the first player to win 5 or more points.
In double elimination: A match is decided by the first player to win 2 out of 3 rounds.
ROUND:
In double elimination, round refers to part of a match.
- A player who wins 4 points wins the round.
- 2 out of 3 rounds must be won by a player to be considered winning a match.
Pod:
A ‘pod’ refers to the group you have been allocated to for the group stage.

Step One: Check into the venue!
Please check in at the admin desk by 10:30 AM to collect your ABN lanyard. After that, feel free to mix and mingle while we get ready to brief everyone on the event schedule, housekeeping, and more.

Step Two: House Keeping and Announcements.
Shortly after check-ins, we’ll brief everyone on all the must-know information before matches begin.

Step Three: Battle and have some fun!
Now you’re ready to be placed into your group-stage pod! Players will be called up in order to complete their matches as we battle our way to crowning the champion!

Tournament Structure
Group Stage
The top X players from each participating club will play through Round Robin Pods using the remix 3-on-3 format.
- Coin flip to decide the initial sides.
- First to 5 points wins the match.
- Side switch at each reshuffle.
- Remix Format
Top Cut
The top X players from the group stage will advance into a double elimination bracket to determine the overall winner of the tournament.
- Coin flip to decide the initial sides.
- First to 4 points wins the round.
- Side switch at each win/loss.
- Best 2 round wins out of 3, wins the match.

What else can we do on the day?
A bit of something for everyone!
We know that attending events alone can feel a bit daunting, and sometimes the deciding factor for whether friends or family tag along is having something that interests them too! That’s why we’ve put together plenty of activities, stalls, and food options for you and your loved ones to enjoy on the day. A little something for everyone!

Food Options:
A few yum food options will be available on-site for everyone’s convenience. There are also several off-site choices nearby, though we advise players to allow plenty of time if heading out to grab food.
Bascially Buns (on-site)
Artisan buns inspired by pasifika taste. Basically Buns will be selling cinnamon-scrolls, drinks and more!
Hero Coffee (on-site)
Your go-to merchant for all your coffee needs.

Stalls
TAPlab Makerspace:
West Auckland’s local makerspace will be selling on-demand decals, customs orders and storage options!
Daemon Faerie Crafts:
Check Loryns stall out for some 3D-printed critters, creatures, and cryptids, plus D&D accessories, laser-cut art, jewellery, and embroidered patches! A treasure trove of fantasy delights.

Elaynah from the Beyblade Landscape team will be your go-to stallholder for all your on-the-day Beyblade needs! Whether you’re after something new or just keen to browse, the Beyblade Landscape stall is the place to be!
Print These:
Kumran from Print These will be selling a collection of 3D printed deck boxes, connectors and can even take custom orders.
